IB PROGRAM
International Baccalaureate Program at New Renaissance Middle School
New Renaissance Middle School is proud to be an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offering the Middle Years Program (MYP) for all students in grades 6–8. The IB Program is a globally recognized framework that encourages students to think critically, act responsibly, and engage with the world around them.
Through the MYP, students explore real-world issues across eight subject areas while developing the skills needed to become lifelong learners and compassionate global citizens. Lessons are concept-driven, interdisciplinary, and inquiry-based, helping students make meaningful connections between what they learn in class and the world beyond school walls.
Our teachers design units that challenge students to analyze problems from multiple perspectives, reflect on their learning, and apply knowledge in authentic ways. In addition to strong academics, the program emphasizes character development through the IB Learner Profile, which encourages students to be caring, principled, open-minded, and reflective individuals.
